A-LIST Screenwriting, DC Final Cut Pro User Group, Women In Film & Video and Center for Digital Imaging Arts - Washington campus, present an evening with Jim Mercurio:
Film Financing 101 (The DIY Basics)
and The Storytelling Craft
Jim Mercurio is one of the country’s top script consultants and an executive producer for the local, forthcoming, Chris Cooley (Washington Redskins #47), "Ghosts Don't Exist" film being shot with the RED camera in May in the DC metro area.
The Washington Post called the bonus material, which he wrote and directed for his film, "Hard Scrambled" (a two-hour seminar on making indie films), "a must for would-be filmmakers".
Don't miss an awesome opportunity to hear a world-class teacher with billion dollar A-List clients talk about filmmaking. He will give an overview of film financing from the filmmaker and investor side and then will help all storytellers -- novelists, screenwriters, directors, producers, and even editors – look at their craft in a brand new light. WARNING: Jim's an infectious speaker! Spend a couple of hours with him on Friday night and plan to spend the rest of the weekend with him at his A-LIST SCREENWRITING: "The Lecture" at the Grand Hyatt in Washington DC on Saturday/Sunday, 25/26 April 2009!
To sign-up for the class, go to www.a-listscreenwriting.com (or directly to: http://a-listscreenwriting.com/cart/catalog/A_List_Lecture-3-1.html)
Jim is coming from Los Angeles to Washington, DC to kick off his nationwide series of classes starting with A-List Screenwriting: The Lecture on April 25-26 (Saturday/Sunday), 9 am - 6 pm at the Grand Hyatt Washington in the state of the art Conference Center theater.
This weekend class focuses on story and scene structure; film analysis; and craft principles. Whether you are a beginning storyteller, a professional, or somewhere in between, the classes will accelerate your growth as a writer and improve your craft.
